What does safe sex mean?

The only way to be 100 percent safe is to avoid sex altogether, but this is not realistic in most cases. Safe sex is when semen, vaginal fluids or blood is not exchanged with your partner. This reduces the risk of getting or passing on an STI. Always use a condom if you’re having sexual intercourse, be sure you and your partner are regularly tested for STIs, and do not have multiple partners.
